Reliance broadband is actually now available in my area and I called then two days ago when they promised some one will come around to my place and my reliance broadband connection will be up and running in 7 days time which only time will tell.
Right now I am just waiting for thier guy to come here but there are only 12 hours left for thier deadline of 72 hours which they said.
I have applied for the 300 kbps connection at Rs40 a day (prepaid) which has the same upload speed of 300kbps.

Dear Sir,
I am a Practising Company Secretary in Cochin , Kerala. I had applied for Broad Band Internet access of Reliance Communications on July 7, Two Thousand Seven (01.07.2007) vide Customer Application No. 13010012388819 and remitted installation charges cum deposit of Rs. 500 vide my cheque No.506120 for Rs.500/- dated 01.07.2007 drawn on South Indian Bank Ltd, Ernakulam-682018 in favour of "RCIL-A/c RIS", that is about 10 months back. The cheque was cleared from my A/c on 29.08.2007. However I was not given any Broad band Internet access so far. Several times I enquired about the reason for not providing the connection. It was learnt that utmost irresponsible staff are manning your Cochin office. Their excuses were amazing me. They were blaming one another for the lapse. They could not offer any reason for non-provision of the connection. It seems that these irresponsible staff had some how misplaced my application for some time and thereafter when noticed the application, sent the cheque for collection and realised the amount. Whenever I ask about the status they started giving me lame excuses as building No. could not be given or cable staff are on leave or something else. So I applied for Broad Band connection of another company and got it quickly. Then I asked your Cochin office to refund my deposit. Each time I enquire about the refund your staff would request me to send a person to collect the refund amount, but when my boy visits your Cochin office they send him back without giving refund amount, telling that the cheque has not come. It is interesting to inform you that when my boy visits them only, they check whether refund cheque has come or not. Please see that my office is about six km away from your Cochin office and my boy has so far gone 3 times your Cochin office to collect the refund as per call received from your Cochin office. I know what legal remedies are available to me. I have copy of all the documents including the cheque given to your Cochin office. But that will not serve the purpose. You must know what is happening in your Cochin office and must take appropriate action against them so that they will not repeat the same in future.

The person in charge of your Refund Division (A & P Arcade, Kadavanthra, Cochin) are Mr. George and Ms. Priya and their contact Nos. are Cell:9388640856, Ph: 0484- 3031312.
So I request you to instruct your cochin office to refund my deposit of Rs. 500/- together with Bank interest for the period and redress my grievance at the earliest. I shall provide you with any other information as may be required in this regard.

According to me in broadband service,after BSNL and Airtel,Reliance has a good stronghold and its internet service is consistently improving as technology is progressing.In comparison to other service providers Reliance Prepaid 3G Plans are cheaper and best for professional use.
